The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
In this role, you will support 6 residents in a Residential Recovery Service for older adults with existing mental health challenges.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and safety
  • Preparing residents’ homes for the next day
  • Conducting welfare checks
  • Budgeting and independent daily living skills
  • Attending appointments and advocating on behalf of residents.
  • Medication support
  • Working in a recovery-focused way
  • Helping with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and home preparation to support residents’ transition to independent living in the community.

Shift Pattern: Friday to Saturday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm & Sunday to Monday, 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm. You will be reporting to the Team Coach.

You | Mōu

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a current full NZ driver’s licence
  • Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
  • Applicants must hold the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be currently working towards either.
  • Preferably you’ll have experience in aged care or mental health (but not essential)
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti Waitangi
