Support Worker

Support Worker Location: Spital Tongs, Newcastle Salary: £12.72 per hour, rising to £15.01 per hour after completion of BSL qualification Hours: Full-time: 37 hours per week - three 12-hour shifts (e.g. 8am-8pm, 9am-9pm, or 10am-10pm) Part-time: Minimum of 21 hours per week Rota: Shifts include 2 weekends per month; rota is set 2-3 months in advance Contract Type: Permanent About the Role: We are looking for compassionate, committed Support Workers to join a person-centred team supporting two young adults with complex needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work flexibly and as part of a close-knit team to provide high-quality support and care. Key responsibilities include: • Supporting individuals in their daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks • Encouraging independence and promoting life skills • Assisting with medication management and health-related needs • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues • Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
