Salary range & band: General Salary Range H: $60,750 to $70,402 depending on skills and experience
About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga
We are seeking a motivated business support professional to join the Wine Assurance team as a support officer supporting the Assurance directorate within New Zealand Food Safety.
In the role, you will:
* Provide general administrative and logistical support.
* Provide secretariat services to support internal and external teams, committees or panels including meeting logistics, email account maintenance, meeting preparation, and minute taking.
* Assist with invoicing, personnel travels, and purchase order processes.
* Maintain hard copy and electronic files and the coordination and release of relevant information within specified deadlines.
* Contribute to the review and improvement of procedures developed under Assurance's Quality Management System.
* Identify any support relevant system and process improvement opportunities (e.g., improving reporting requirements across the directorate).
About You - Mōu
To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable in a busy office environment with good knowledge of administration and business support systems & processes. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as being computer literate in the use of MS Office products.
You will have:
* Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Well-development time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
* Excellent collaboration skills.
* Flexibility and responsiveness.
Understanding the New Zealand Food Safety's export system would be advantageous.

About the Team - Mō tō mātou Rōpū
The Assurance directorate is made up of four teams: Chemical and Microbiological Assurance, Food and Live Animal Assurance, Plant, Wine and Organic Assurance, and Systems Audits.
Together we provide an assurance framework that that underpins and enhances New Zealand's export trade in food and fibre.
This includes setting export standards and overseeing systems for certification, verification and monitoring.
You will report to the Team manager Wine Assurance which is a team composed of Advisers and Senior Advisers sits within the Plant, Wine and Organic Assurance group. You will be working with Assurance Executive Coordinator and Support Officers across New Zealand Food Safety and help support each other if needed.
