Support & Implementation Engineer (m/w/d)

Aufgaben

Your Role

As Software Engineer in our Implementation & Customer Team, you are the bridge between our product and our customers. You ensure that new customers start successfully, technically clean, reliable, and without any friction.

This is not a classic support job. It's an engineering position with strong customer focus, with the difference being that you go the entire way from problem to solution yourself: from diagnosis to implementation to handover. What you see flows directly into the product.

Your Tasks

Kunden-Onboarding & technische Integration
You accompany new customers from the first technical analysis to productive operation. This means:

• Technical analysis of existing systems and data structures on the customer side
• Coordination with customers regarding requirements, timeline, and handover criteria
• Setting up and verifying integration, API connections, configuration, test runs

Datenmigrationen

A large part of our customers switch from existing systems to Fynn. You develop and operate the ETL processes that make this possible - structured, validated, and secure.

• Analysis and mapping of source data from legacy systems, CSV exports, or foreign APIs
• Development of ETL pipelines with clean error handling, validation logic, and logging
• Quality assurance of migrated data, especially in the finance context where every number has a meaning

Support, Bugfixing & Weiterentwicklung

If customers encounter problems, you are the first technical instance. You replicate, analyze, and resolve or hand over with complete context. Furthermore, you actively bring yourself into product development.

• Error analysis and bug fixing in our PHP/Symfony backend and TypeScript layer
• Direct communication with customers regarding error status and solution
• Feedback from customer contact directly into the product as a concrete improvement suggestion
• Support for integrating new features into the existing platform to increase customer flexibility
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices in software development
• Creating and maintaining user documentation for our software modules

Qualifikation

What you bring

We are not looking for someone who perfectly matches a list of technologies. We are looking for someone who is technically solid, thinks independently, and enjoys solving real customer problems.

• 2-4 years of experience in software development, preferably in a customer-facing environment as an Implementation Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Software Developer with customer contact
• Knowledge of subscription billing, invoicing, or fintech
• Good PHP knowledge, ideally with Symfony experience, you find yourself comfortable in an existing backend
• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented development
• TypeScript / you can read and understand our API and frontend layer
• Solid SQL understanding: data problems go straight to the source
• Experience with data migrations or ETL processes, or a clear idea of how you would approach it
• Precision: in the finance context where every number has a meaning, you are aware of your responsibility
• Communication: you can explain the same problem to an accountant and a backend developer on two different levels
