Support Engineer

ASB Security is a leading Dutch manufacturer of high-quality security solutions. With more than 40 years of experience, we design, develop, and produce our products and systems entirely in-house, supported by a specialized engineering team. Our solutions for alarm automation (Seconts) and alarm transmission to integrated building security are used daily by governments, banks, security regions, and other organizations where security is of critical importance.

As an IT Specialist, you will fit in a small, tight team where flexibility and self-reliance are essential. You will be involved in all aspects of managing our IT infrastructure and systems. You will work with a combination of standard IT tools and our own, in-house developed software that is crucial for the operation of our security services. No day is the same in this all-round function.

• Managing and optimizing on-premise and cloud environments.
• Working with unique, internally developed software (training will be provided).
• Performing network management (firewalls, switches, routing).
• Managing Microsoft Servers and MySQL databases.
• Solving incidents and monitoring systems.
• Active contribution to customer communication in Dutch and English.
• Participating in a 24/7 roster – including night shifts and weekends.
• Taking on all IT tasks within the team.

• HBO work and thinking level, preferably in the direction of ICT.
• Broad technical knowledge of IT infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).
• Knowledge of networks, Microsoft Server, and MySQL.
• Experience or affinity with working in a small, self-reliant team.
• Flexible, proactive attitude, you are a doer.
• Stress-resistant and service-oriented, even under time pressure.
• Strong communication skills, you know how to express yourself clearly, even to key customers who occasionally visit you.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Readiness to participate in 24/7 standby services (including night/weekend) 1x per month.
