About the Role
Execute the planning of raw material and component supply by analyzing production requirements, strategic inventory management, and coordination with suppliers to ensure material availability, maximize internal service level, and optimize sourcing costs.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and maintain a conduct of respect and honesty towards company employees.
- Verify the inventory of raw materials and components under your charge and coverage for the production plan.
- Issue releases to suppliers optimizing organizational inventory targets (DOH), supplier capacity, and system suggestions.
- Monitor in-time shipments of planned orders from SAP by suppliers.
- Follow up on Past Due from suppliers and critical materials.
- Proactively identify supplier delivery risks or material shortages, developing reaction plans in coordination with Planning, Production, and Purchasing.
- Collaborate with the new projects area to follow up on SOP (Start of Production), participating in Ramp Down / Ramp Up analyses, and coordinating supply for launches or End of Life (EOL) / Build Out.
- Monitor and analyze Excess & Obsolete (E&O) metrics, developing action plans to mitigate slow-moving and obsolete inventory in coordination with related areas.
- Maintain parameters and requirements in the SAP system.
- Forecast the value of inventory related to the part numbers with which you interact and align with organizational inventory objectives.
- Analyze and maintain RAW+IT at ideal inventory levels.
- Update PFEP of RAW+IT and create action plans to reduce Top 10 Over Stock and communicate risks for Top 10 Under Stock.
- When required by justified situations, request and obtain approvals for expedited shipments “Premium Freight.”
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, International Relations, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Advanced English (reading, speaking, writing).
- 3-5 years in a similar role.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in material planning (MRP) and managing multiple suppliers simultaneously.
- Advanced capacity in supplier management, capacity analysis, and lead times.
- Expertise in sourcing strategies and supply chain risk management.
- Advanced knowledge in RAW+IT Inventory administration.
- Lean Methodology (JIT, Kanban, Min-Max).
- Advanced knowledge in SAP.
- Ability to develop mitigation strategies for disruptions.
- Proficiency in material requirements calculation methods (MRP).
- Expertise in managing high variability, long lead time, and critical materials.
- Ability to lead inventory reduction and rotation improvement initiatives.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with production planning and warehouse teams.
- Advanced knowledge in Plan for Every Part and key concepts such as Ship Frequency, Cycle Stock, and inventory targets.
- Advanced Excel.
- SAP (Materials Module).
- IATF 16949.
- Knowledge of Production Planning and Logistics.
