RPO's client is actively seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to lead and optimise the full supply chain function within a high-performance manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, developing team capability, and enhancing reporting processes to support business decision-making. This is a full-time, onsite position. Responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing strategies to optimise the supply chain, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals. • Leading and managing a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure effective performance and continuous improvement. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless integration with other business functions. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal partners. • Analyzing and interpreting data to inform business decisions, identifying trends, and developing recommendations for improvement. • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve supply chain operations and stay ahead of the competition. • Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders. • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of supply chain activities, including inventory management, logistics, and procurement. • Identifying and mitigating risks, developing contingency plans, and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions. • Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to measure supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement. • Collaborating with the procurement team to develop and implement procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals. • Developing and implementing training programs to enhance team capability and ensure effective performance. • Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, and recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance. • This is a full-time, onsite position. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Proven track record of driving efficiency, developing team capability, and enhancing reporting processes to support business decision-making. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop recommendations for improvement. • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, logistics, and procurement. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software applications. • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous improvement. • Certifications in supply chain management, such as APICS or CSCP, are desirable but not essential.
