Your role with us:

You will be the owner of our operational procurement and report directly to our COO. From monthly sales and inventory planning, you will create orders that arrive on time, complete, and in agreed quality, and you will manage our manufacturers in Asia and Europe for this. Your success will be measurable by our suppliers' on-time delivery and the error rate in orders.

Your tasks include:

• You will be responsible for the ordering process for finished goods, components, packaging, and POS materials, from order recommendation and approval to goods receipt.

• You will manage our manufacturers in Asia and Europe through order confirmation, production, pre-shipment quality checks, and shipping documents. In case of delays, you will escalate early and propose a solution.

• You will measure supplier performance via a scorecard (on-time delivery, quality, response time) and make deviations visible before they become a problem.

• You will keep bills of materials, specifications, and item data so clean that planning, logistics, and retail can rely on them.

• You will manage advance payments and due dates with Finance and ensure that our suppliers' certificates and conformity declarations are complete.

• You will develop the process further: standards for new suppliers and components, controls, automation. Where a tool or AI can take work off your hands, you will use it.

What you bring with you:

• You have independently managed operational procurement with manufacturers in Asia for several years, ideally for a consumer goods brand supplying retail.

• You work accurately because you have a system for it, not because you are slow. You can demonstrate how you catch errors before an order is placed.

• You manage suppliers with friendliness and persistence, even across time zones, and follow up until an appointment is truly confirmed.

• You don't wait for instructions. If something goes wrong, you address it early and bring a proposal.

• You are very proficient in Excel/Sheets, fluent in German, and have very good English skills.
  

Ideally, you also bring:

• Experience with components from the beauty/cosmetics or FMCG industry (e.g., packaging, applicators).

• ERP or planning system experience (PO workflows, master data).

• Experience with pre-shipment inspections or QC service providers.
