Supply Buyer (customer service, materials buy, inventory & capacity)

We are looking for a Supply Buyer to join our team. **SUMMARY:** The Supply Buyer is responsible for the timely procurement of materials to support production, minimize inventory investment, and maintain a high level of supplier service. The Supply Buyer will be expected to utilize all available sourcing techniques to purchase materials in a manner consistent with company policy and sound business practices. The Supply Buyer will manage supplier relationships, resolve delivery and quality issues, and work with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and ensure production needs are met. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Manage the procurement of assigned materials from approved suppliers, including: * Issuing purchase orders * Managing order confirmations and changes * Expediting deliveries to meet production schedules * Resolving invoice discrepancies * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts. * Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and other contract terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials. * Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement. * Research and identify new suppliers to ensure a competitive supply base. * Analyze market conditions and industry trends to anticipate material price fluctuations and supply chain disruptions. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, planning, and quality, to resolve material-related issues. * Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications. * Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to procurement. **QUALIFICATIONS:** * Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management. * Strong negotiation and communication skills. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Experience with ERP systems. * Knowledge of purchasing principles, practices, and procedures. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * APICS certification is a plus. **BENEFITS:** * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off * 401K with Company Match * Employee Assistance Program * Life Insurance * Disability Insurance * Employee Discount Programs * Career Growth Opportunities Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
