For our customer, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Manager (m/w/d). Job description: As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for the auxiliary systems of gas turbines, steam turbines and generators, you are responsible for conducting supplier qualification-, development- and quality assurance measures. You work closely with various departments in a multicultural environment, both locally and globally, within a global supply chain management process. A SQE uses digitalization tools to improve our processes and correct nonconformities through containment measures, root cause analysis (RCA) and the implementation of preventive measures and risk mitigation strategies.
Supplier qualification: Support for a cross-functional team by evaluating supplier capabilities, auditing the quality management system and processes of suppliers, etc.
Product- and process qualification: Support for the quality assurance measures of suppliers along the entire PPQ. Approval of the supplier process based on the presented production quality control plan.
Conducting source/ virtual / desk inspections of suppliers of components and systems in your area of responsibility.
You coordinate the processing of nonconformities at the supplier and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent recurrence.
You monitor the performance indicators of suppliers and adjust activities in the areas of quality, inspection and development planning accordingly.
You moderate or support meetings on supplier qualification and development status. You ensure that qualifications proceed as planned and potential risks are identified.
You work with various tools for supplier quality and development.
Your profile: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a similar field.
Technical experience with industrial process technology and/or auxiliary systems in power generation facilities is advantageous
At least 3 years of experience in the technical field and/or in supply chain management and quality management
Experience in conducting supplier audits, knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001 preferred, additional knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 welcome
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Familiarity with root cause analysis and other methods of quality and risk management
Will to ~30% travel activity
