Supplier Quality Engineer (m/w/d)

AIRTECH Europe, located in Schweinfurt and another location in Barcelona, Spain, is a subsidiary of the IDEX Corporation. The businesses were consolidated into the Performance Pneumatics platform in 2024 with the goal of exceeding average growth in the EMEA region, both organically through innovations with clear differentiation potential and through acquisitions. The Performance Pneumatics area includes a portfolio of compressors, blowers, and vacuum pumps with the brands AIRTECH, GAST, and Jun-Air.

Tasks

• Responsible for the supplier quality process
• Maintenance and improvement of supplier quality key figures
• Direct collaboration with Commodity Managers to improve the performance of suppliers and provide technical support
• Qualification of suppliers
• Responsible for the corrective action process in the direction of Supply Chain (CAR)
• Maintenance of the system to prevent overdue measures
• Collaboration with suppliers on corrective actions and verifications
• Responsible for the approval process in supplier quality
• Process capability
• Licensing of suppliers and first sampling
• Organization and implementation of supplier audits
• Maintenance and care of key figures for incoming goods inspection and layout inspection
• Direct collaboration with suppliers to solve non-conformities
• Examination and approval of changes to suppliers
• Main responsible for coordination for escalations in the Supply Chain

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology or a related field, alternatively Technician or Master and corresponding professional experience
• At least 3 years of experience in building supplier quality programs and/or supplier development
• Fundamental technical knowledge in the metalworking industry and electrical engineering
• Good communication skills in German and English
• Experience in conducting and following up on supplier audits Further training in topics such as internal audits and supplier audits (e.g. VDA 6.3)
