Position Description

We are seeking a Works Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the execution of industrial projects within General Motors (GM) facilities. They will be responsible for supervising electrical and mechanical activities, coordinating operational personnel, managing permits and approvals with the client, verifying the correct installation of equipment by interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals, as well as ensuring compliance with industrial safety regulations.

Their duties also include identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, tracking the progress of work, and preparing technical and progress reports, ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with the work schedule, quality standards, and client requirements.

Requirements

• Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Works Supervisor in industrial projects.
• Experience supervising electrical and mechanical activities.
• Knowledge in interpreting blueprints, electrical diagrams, mechanical diagrams, and installation manuals.
• Experience in managing permits and approvals with clients, preferably in industrial or automotive plants.
• Experience in administration and coordination of operational personnel and contractors.
• Knowledge of industrial safety regulations, risk prevention, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to identify and report unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective actions.
• Experience in preparing daily and weekly work progress reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook); knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is desirable.
• Availability of hours and willingness to work in the field according to project needs.
• Leadership attitude, effective communication, organization, and results orientation.
