Responsibilities and duties

Check the details about the position:

• Ensure quality of care through the monitoring of high-complexity patients using advanced life support therapies;
• Train professionals who will work with patients using advanced life support;
• Standardize processes and meet the regulatory premises of your field of practice;
• Work with mechanical circulatory support;
• Patient and caregiver assessment – institutional protocol;
• Assembly of the ventricular assist device system in the operating room;
• Patient follow-up during hospitalization and outpatient care;
• Education for patient and caregiver discharge;
• Home visit to check home safety items;
• Describe the Standard Operating Procedures (POPS) and protocols for patient care in the pre, intra, and post-operative periods;
• Manage the team and promote training.

To care with us, it is important to have:

• Mandatory Academic Education: Nursing degree (Perfusionist Title);
• Desirable Academic Education: Cardiology residency or Postgraduate degree in intensive care or cardiology;
• Specialization in Extracorporeal Perfusion (Cardiovascular Perfusion);
• Complementary Courses/Certifications: ACLS. ECMO Specialist – ELSO;
• Specific Knowledge: Transplant legislation and Brazilian transplant guidelines, Cardiac surgery and Short-term and long-term mechanical circulatory support.
