Job description

Octopus Energy, an international green energy provider, has launched its subsidiary Octopus Energy Services to support its customers in the complete decarbonization of their homes. Already well established in the United Kingdom, this entity offers a range of technical solutions: installation of photovoltaic panels, charging stations for electric vehicles, and decarbonized heating systems, all with an approach focused on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

As part of the launch and deployment of our heat pumps in France, we are looking for our first HVAC Supervisor to oversee the installations of our air-to-air heat pumps. We are looking for a passionate individual with experience in installing heat pumps and/or heating systems, eager to help us develop this business in France.

This is a field-based position covering the Amiens region, but you will also be required to work from home or from our Lille office when necessary.


What you will do
- You will help us set up the technical structure of our heat pump department in France
- You will ensure the quality and proper functioning of installations carried out by our local partners
- You will be on the ground visiting sites and ensuring their smooth progress
- You will be able to provide technical assistance to directly resolve any problems identified on-site
- You will have a "troubleshooter" mindset to find solutions to challenges encountered and resolve them at your level
- You will leverage your knowledge and experience in heat pump installations to ensure a smooth and exceptional experience
- You will advise our customers and help them implement good carbon emission reduction practices
- You will review technical specifications and technical plans for our heat pumps, and you may participate in their development/continuous improvement, in conjunction with the group's technical and business teams

Profile sought
- You have at least 3 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of aerothermal heat pump systems
- You are available and ready to travel in the Amiens region and Northern France
- You are an experienced technician, particularly in plumbing and heating, and you have knowledge of heating system design; you are capable of troubleshooting yourself and providing technical on-site intervention at job sites
- You know how to review and propose technical specifications and mechanical plans
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit: you are joining a new project where "everything is to be done." You are not afraid to start from scratch, test, learn, and move forward independently.
- You are proactive and rigorous; you know how to organize your work independently, optimizing as you go, particularly by implementing clear and automated processes
- You have a love for challenges; you enjoy going into the field; you are not afraid to confront artisans and help them overcome encountered frustrations. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, you know how to rally your contacts and turn them into true ambassadors for Octopus Energy!



Prerequisites & Qualifications

- Valid car driver's license
- CAP/BEP level diploma(s), or VAE of equivalent level
- Previous experience working for RGE & Qualibat certified companies
- Proficiency in technical English, written & oral (B1-B2 level)
- Electrical qualification (BR NF C18-510)

It will also be a plus if:
- You are comfortable with digital tools and technology, especially Excel
- You have experience with the "electrical" part of heat pumps
- You hold the BR electrical qualification
