Job description
Linck Child, Youth and Family Supports (“Linck”) requires one (1) Supervised Access Worker. This is a full-time contract position beginning as soon as possible and lasting six (6) months. This position will require working days, evenings and weekends. The incumbent would be expected to work “irregular” hours based on the needs of the program. The successful candidate will observe access visits for families receiving child protection services; record clear and concise fact based case notes regarding the visits; maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all visits; and provide written reports to the program manager. The Supervised Access Worker will also be responsible for providing support and guidance to families during access visits, and for ensuring that the visits are conducted in a safe and respectful manner. This position will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of child-centered practice and will be able to apply this understanding in their work with families. The Supervised Access Worker will also be responsible for participating in regular team meetings and training sessions, and for contributing to the development of program policies and procedures.
