Assistant Maintenance Manager – Hotel Xcaret Arte

Objective:

Ensure the optimal operating conditions and care of buildings, facilities, equipment, and furniture of the Hotel, through the efficient and timely coordination and execution of preventive, corrective maintenance programs, and work orders from the different hotel departments, adhering to quality and operational standards.

Functions:

1. Develop and implement hotel maintenance programs, systems, and plans, adhering to the guidelines of the Maintenance Manager.
2. Prepare, in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, the department's expense and investment budgets.
3. Guarantee and direct the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs and work orders in rooms, public areas, food and beverage outlets, offices, and service areas in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
4. Establish, in coordination with the Maintenance Manager, the maximum and minimum levels of spare parts, equipment, and materials to be kept in stock, controlling and maintaining inventory through the review and approval of requisitions for tools, spare parts, and materials from the warehouse.
5. Ensure the supply of operating equipment and necessary supplies for daily operations, as well as taking care of their proper use, ensuring safety regulations are met.
6. Control the efficient use of energy resources: electricity, water, diesel, and gas of the Hotel through the implementation of technology that supports sustainability and the promotion of good practices in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
7. Comply with the Civil Protection, Earth Check, and Cristal regulations applicable to their area of responsibility, ensuring that maintenance operations adhere to them.
8. Provide technical training through training and development programs to increase the technical level and quality of work, establishing performance standards and evaluating personnel accordingly.
9. Design and develop training programs for the fire brigade and emergency situations in conjunction with the security department.
10. Ensure the perfect functioning of all equipment and facilities that make up the Hotel's fire prevention and fighting system.

Requirements:

• Degree or Specialization: Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of work experience in the position.
• Residency or willingness to relocate to Playa del Carmen.

Knowledge:

• Budget and inventory administration.
• Development and implementation of Preventive Maintenance programs in the Hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of refrigerant gases, refrigeration cycles.
• Differences in concepts of amperage, voltage, power, resistance, and impedance.
• Physicochemical parameters of water.
• Knowledge of measurement systems and measuring instruments.
• Use and handling of chemical products.
• Certifications (Cristal, Earth Check, AAA).
• Work Safety and Hygiene.
