What you will do

Officer Meteorologist:

Officer Hydrographer:

As an Officer Hydrographer, you will work in the Military Hydrography & METOC department of the Royal Netherlands Navy. You will conduct civilian and military hydrographic surveys and process the data to support maritime operations. Additionally, you will collect data from national and international sources. Flexibility and teamwork are important for this role.

Where you will work

Meteorologist:

As an Officer Meteorologist, you will work as a MetBriefer at one of Defence's airbases. You will participate in exercises and may be deployed. Before you start, you will follow a training program of 1 year and 5 months, consisting of the Officer Training and the Technical Training in Woensdrecht.

Hydrographer:

As an Officer Hydrographer, you will work at the Military Hydrography & METOC department at the Hydrographic Service in The Hague or Den Helder. Your work area is primarily the North Sea and sometimes overseas territories. You will start with a 10-week Specialist Training at the Royal Netherlands Naval College (KIM). After completion, you will immediately begin your career with the Royal Netherlands Navy.

€4,050 ~ €4,450 Salary 23 ~ 30 Days Off Per Year Obtain Your Driver's License for Free Location: VARIOUS LOCATIONS NETHERLANDS

Your starting salary depends on your age, education level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, your salary will grow with you. With a full-time employment contract, you are entitled to 23-30 vacation days per year, depending on your age. If you have days left over, you can carry them over to the next year under certain conditions.
