Where you will work

As an Onderwerfficier Logistics with the Marechaussee, you will work from a military logistics team within one of the operational brigades of the Marechaussee. These brigades are active in one or more task areas of the Marechaussee, such as border police tasks within our entire Kingdom (including deployment at air and seaports), military police tasks, guard and security, assistance to the police, and foreign police missions. It will be your task to coordinate, organize, and control the various goods flows within your brigade. Are there problems? Then you will evaluate the bottlenecks and make adjustments where necessary.

As an Officer Logistics with the Marechaussee, you will work as Head of Support at an operational brigade. You will lead a logistics team: you will coordinate, plan, and control the goods flow within the different work fields of the Marechaussee.

As an Officer Logistics with the Air Force, you will coordinate, plan, and control the goods flow within the Air Force. You will deal with modern and complex (weapon) systems, such as aircraft and helicopters. But also, for example, with (mission) support systems, such as communication and radar systems. As an Officer Logistics, you ensure that all Air Force components have the right equipment on time to perform their tasks. Various positions are possible in different logistics areas, such as Supply Chain Management, Transport, Procurement, Warehousing & Distribution, Facility Management, and Operational Logistics.

As an Officer Technical Services with the Army, you will work in one of the platoons of a Recovery Company. There, you will lead 60 to 80 military personnel who maintain and repair the equipment of a (combat) unit. Because military personnel work with many items and vehicles, wheeled and tracked vehicles, artillery, weapons, weapon systems, and communication equipment, among others, end up at a recovery platoon for repair and maintenance. As an Officer Technical Services, your task is to lead the mechanics who are involved in that repair and maintenance.

You can work as an Onderwerfficier Logistics, Officier Logistics, or Officier Technische Dienst at various locations in the Netherlands. Do you have a preference? Let us know! In addition to the Army, Air Force, and Marechaussee locations, you can also work at the Defensie Materieel Organisatie (Defence Materiel Organisation), the Militaire Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdienst (Military Intelligence and Security Service), or be stationed abroad.

Your starting salary depends on your age, educational level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, your salary will also grow. With a full-time employment, depending on your age, you are entitled to 23-30 vacation days per year. Do you have days left over? Then you can carry them over to the next year under certain conditions.

You are pursuing an MBO (vocational) education in Mobility & Transport or Services & Products, a HBO (higher professional) / WO (university) education in Logistic Management, Logistic Engineering, or a HBO/WO education in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration. For the Officer Logistics Marechaussee, you are pursuing an education in HBO Logistic Management, Supply Chain Manager, Safety and Security Science, Facility Management, Business Administration, Higher Safety Science, Higher Environmental Science, or Occupational Hygiene, Integral Security Science (supplemented with Security Management According to The Hague Method (DHM Security Management), Security & Law, Security & Technology, and/or Security Risk Management (Q-Share), HBO/WO construction or civil engineering. You can apply as soon as you have at least 6 months remaining in your studies. Different conditions apply for the Marechaussee.
