Where you will work

As an Information Management Officer with the Military Police, you will start at the National Tactical Command (LTC) in Soesterberg or the Training, Education, and Knowledge Center (OTC) in Apeldoorn. You will be responsible for translating information needs into information provisions. Together with your colleagues, you will be involved in the renewal, improvement, and maintenance of information provision. As an Information Management Officer with the Military Police, you are the indispensable link between operations and IT. You will respond to rapid information flows, complex challenges, and quickly evolving changes.

As an ICT Officer or Non-Commissioned Officer, you will work with the Signals Service of the Navy, Army, or Air Force. There, you will lead a group of military ICT personnel who install, operate, and maintain all kinds of communication equipment and connections. For example, with the Navy, you will ensure that the various network systems on board continue to function optimally. To do this, you will use different software packages to manage them as effectively as possible. The Signals Service of the Army might work in the back of a vehicle to establish a good computer connection, for instance, in the middle of a forest. And the Signals Service of the Air Force, at a military airfield, might be busy installing a satellite dish for the connection between a foreign location and the Netherlands. But with the Navy, Army, and Air Force, as an ICT Officer or Non-Commissioned Officer, you will work with high-tech ICT in the most diverse circumstances. Your starting salary depends on your age, educational level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience increase, your salary will also grow with you. With a full-time employment contract, you are entitled to 23-30 days of leave per year, depending on your age. Do you have days left over? Under certain conditions, you can carry them over to the following year.

You are pursuing an MBO 3/4 ICT, ICT Support, Software Developer, Allround Employee IT Systems and Devices or Expert Systems and Devices, or HBO/WO degree in an ICT/IV direction. Think of ICT, Computer Science, Business IT & Management, Information Science, Data Science, Creative Media & Game Technologies. You can apply as soon as you have been studying your degree for at least 6 months. Different conditions apply for the Military Police.
