GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences is an internationally active social science institution of the Leibniz Association, funded by the federal and state governments.
We are looking for a
Student Assistant
(€15.20 / €16.09 per hour, 20 hours per month with the possibility of increasing to 40 hours, fixed-term)The department Survey Design and Methodology (SDM) possesses nationally and internationally recognized expertise in survey methodology through its own research and many years of experience in consulting and conducting renowned survey projects.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the Questionnaire Design & Evaluation team with research and service activities, e.g., in the creation of publications and presentations
- Support with the publication of GESIS Survey Guides, especially with formatting in Word
- Importing literature into the Zotero reference management program and linking it with Survey Guides
- Support with the organization, preparation, and follow-up of workshops, events, and meetings of the funded project Competence Centre Data Quality in the Social Sciences (KODAQS) as well as with general administrative project tasks (e.g., travel planning, travel expense accounting, and project organization)
- Support for "KODAQS" with communication, marketing, and social media activities, as well as with the maintenance of websites, newsletters, and other informational materials
Your Profile:
- Currently pursuing a degree in social sciences (Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, or similar
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, or the willingness to acquire it
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- High degree of reliability and thoroughness
- Knowledge of social science methods and analysis programs is an advantage
