Student Assistant

Observing current societal developments is a core task of the social sciences. The department Data and Research on Society supports social research in this task by providing comprehensive data and tools for the description and analysis of social change.

The German Microdata Lab (GML) acts as an interface between empirical social research and official statistics. We prepare official statistics data and offer an extensive research-based service for this data.

• Assisting in the preparation and documentation of data from the European Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS)
• Literature research and preparation
• Support in research activities

• Very careful, reliable, and independent way of working
• Good knowledge of R, Stata, or another statistical program
• Initial experience in data preparation and analysis
• Very good German and good English language skills
• Interest in long-term employment
• Student of a social science Bachelor's or ideally Master's program

• Insights into the work of a research data center and the potential of official microdata for empirical social research
• Very good working atmosphere
