Job description

You're passionate about online communication, love designing content and figuring out what really works? You want to contribute to climate protection with your work? Then come join us!

About us

The Initiative Klimaneutrales Deutschland (IKND) is a non-profit organization that brings movement into the climate policy through positive communication. We work independently with decision-makers from politics, economy, and science and strive for a climate-neutral future – with campaigns, events, media work, strategic network work, and communication.

We are currently working on the topics of energy transition, transportation transition, and decarbonization of the building sector.

To make our online content even more effective, we are looking for a motivated student assistant who is passionate about climate protection and wants to measure our impact, design content, and develop our online presence further.

Tasks

  • Social Media: You create posts for LinkedIn, develop sharepics with Canva and Flourish, and bring our messages creatively to the point – with support from the team.
  • Website: You maintain our website.
  • Newsletter: You prepare our newsletter and send it via Cleverreach and LinkedIn.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: You create reports for our online channels and press work and analyze what works – and what doesn't. You create monthly evaluations and bring your findings into the team.
  • Team-Support: You support us in public relations and projects around climate protection and energy transition.

Qualification

  • You are enrolled as a student (at least 2 semesters) in media, communication, design, digital marketing or equivalent.
  • You have the right enthusiasm for online communication and work well with digital tools.
  • You have already gained some experience, whether through an internship, university project, or your own channels – and want to dive deeper now.
  • You find it exciting to analyze numbers and derive recommendations for our communication from them.
  • You are interested in climate protection, energy transition, and political communication.
  • You are reliable, creative, communicative – and have fun with changing tasks.
  • You have good knowledge of Excel and the common MS Office tools
  • You speak and write fluent German, English is a plus

Benefits

  • A self-responsible task with various learning opportunities in a dynamic team
  • Insights into the work of a non-profit organization and behind-the-scenes of German climate protection policy
  • Flexible working hours,
  • Remote or in Berlin
  • Hourly wage of 16 euros
  • We place great value on direct communication and fair cooperation.

We look forward to getting to know you!

Please send your application (short motivation letter, curriculum vitae start date) in a PDF document.

Application deadline: open – we're looking forward to receiving applications soon!
