Structural Engineer / Structural Technologist

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer or Structural Technologist to join a dynamic team within the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of structural projects, with a strong emphasis on commercial developments. This position combines office-based design work with on-site responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to apply technical expertise and project management skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and implementing structural designs for commercial developments, including high-rise buildings, office buildings, and mixed-use projects. • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that structural designs meet project requirements and are feasible to implement. • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure that structural designs are properly implemented and that any issues are addressed promptly. • Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams to ensure that structural designs are properly implemented and that any issues are addressed promptly. • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in structural engineering and applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes. • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met and that all parties are satisfied with the outcome. • Participating in project meetings and providing input on project progress, issues, and solutions. • Developing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, drawings, and other relevant materials. • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively. • Participating in training and professional development activities to stay current with industry developments and best practices. • Other duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a degree in structural engineering or a related field, and will have at least 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry. A professional engineering license (PE) is an asset, but not required. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
