Structural Engineer/Technologist/Technician

Job Title: Structural Engineer/Technologist/Technician Location: Cape Town, South Africa Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer/Technologist/Technician to join our client's team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing residential, commercial, and retail construction projects in the area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be expected to: • Design and oversee residential, commercial, and retail construction projects in the area; • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications; • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success; • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders; • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians; • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Structural Engineering or related field, and at least 5 years of experience in the field. A professional registration as a PrEng (Professional Engineer) would be advantageous.
