STREAM Teacher

School: Kanakia International School – ICSE, Mira Road

Position Overview:
The Stream Teacher will be responsible for teaching integrated STEM/STREAM activities (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) to primary grade students. The teacher will engage learners through hands-on projects, experiments, creative thinking, and inquiry-based learning.

• Teach STREAM concepts through interactive and activity-based lessons.

• Plan and execute hands-on projects, experiments, and integrated learning activities.

• Develop lesson plans aligned with the ICSE curriculum and STREAM standards.

• Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in students.

• Use technology, coding basics, and simple robotics (if applicable) in class activities.

• Integrate reading and art with science and math to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.

• Assess students’ progress through classwork, projects, and presentations.

• Maintain a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.

• Coordinate with class teachers and subject teachers for cross-curricular integration.

• Participate in school events, exhibitions, competitions, and training programs.

• Graduate in Science/Engineering/Education; B.Ed. preferred.

• Experience in teaching primary grades (ICSE experience preferred).

• Strong knowledge of STEM/STREAM methodologies.

• Good communication skills and creativity in teaching.

• Ability to conduct experiments and hands-on activities.

• Should be enthusiastic, patient, and child-friendly.
