Strategy & Operations Manager - Robotics

Full Time Lead

Job description

RoboService brings humanoid robots from research into industrial everyday life. We work with leading robotics manufacturers worldwide and implement robotics projects at large industrial companies and innovative medium-sized businesses.

For our next growth phase, we are looking for an exceptionally strong personality to build a business-critical area from scratch. You will take on real responsibility from day one, initially work hands-on yourself, and have the opportunity to build your own area and, in perspective, a team with our growth.

We are looking for a smart, entrepreneurial generalist who can quickly structure complex situations, build manufacturer relationships, negotiate convincingly, and turn a sales pipeline into reliable operational implementation.

You will work directly with our Founder & CEO Frederik Fleck, who has over 25 years of experience as a tech entrepreneur and multiple successful company exits. In addition to operational responsibility, you will receive direct entrepreneurial mentoring and a very immediate insight into building an ambitious technology company.

Tasks

Your most important task is to ensure that RoboService has the right robots, components, and partners at the right time – and that our customer projects can be reliably implemented.

  • You translate our sales pipeline and planned customer projects into forward-looking operational planning and ensure that resources, hardware, and partners are available in a timely manner.
  • You coordinate our customer projects from order to deployment and ensure that technical teams, compliance, suppliers, and customers work on a common timeline.
  • You build close relationships with leading international robotics manufacturers and develop them strategically.
  • You convince manufacturers to build up the European market together with RoboService and confidently represent RoboService to international partners.
  • You negotiate prices, delivery conditions, and commercial frameworks and ensure that robots, grippers, sensors, and other critical components are available in a timely manner.
  • You manage orders, delivery dates, and inventory, keeping customer projects and future needs in mind.
  • You build clear, pragmatic processes for project planning, supplier management, inventory, and operations, and develop them further with our growth.
  • An external compliance specialist will initially report to you.
  • As we grow, you can take on further responsibility, build your own team, and increasingly delegate operational tasks.

Qualification

We are looking less for a specific CV than for exceptional talent, high learning ability, and the will to take responsibility.

What you ideally bring:

  • Approx. 2-5 years of professional experience in management consulting, a demanding startup/scale-up, Strategy & Operations, or a similarly demanding environment
  • Very strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly structure complex topics and translate them into concrete decisions
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative, and the ambition to drive things forward
  • A pragmatic hands-on mentality: You don't just develop concepts, you implement them yourself
  • High reliability and ownership – when you take something on, others can rely on you
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as a convincing presence with international manufacturers, customers, and partners
  • The ability to think strategically ahead while consistently completing operational details
  • Curiosity, high willingness to learn, and the ambition to continuously develop yourself and your work
  • Very good German and English
  • Interest in robotics, technology, and industrial automation

Robotics or procurement experience is a plus, but not a requirement. What is crucial for us is how quickly you learn, how much responsibility you want to take, and what standard you set for your own results.

Benefits

Benefits

  • Direct collaboration and personal mentoring from Founder & CEO Frederik Fleck, a tech entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience and multiple successful company exits
  • The opportunity to build and shape a business-critical area yourself from a very early stage
  • The prospect of building and leading your own team with the growth of RoboService
  • International travel to robotics manufacturers and technology partners, including to China and the USA
  • Direct access to some of the world's most exciting robotics companies and their management teams
  • Real robotics projects at leading German and European industrial companies
  • A lot of responsibility, short decision-making processes, and direct influence on key company decisions
  • Company participation through Employee Stock Options
  • Work on a technology and a market that is just emerging – with the chance to actively shape it

We are looking for someone who quickly understands what needs to be done, takes responsibility, and takes action. Today, you will still do many things yourself. With the growth of RoboService, you can build structures, processes, and eventually your own team.

If you prefer building something rather than managing existing structures, have high standards for yourself and your team, and want to take on responsibility early in one of the most exciting technology markets of the coming years, we want to get to know you.
