Strategy Manager (LNG & Power) - Singapore

Formative is partnering with a leading Japanese energy company — with a growing portfolio of thermal, LNG, and decarbonisation investments across Asia Pacific — to hire a Strategy Manager based in Singapore. The role leads market intelligence and analytical workstreams, translating insights into actionable implications for strategy, investment decisions, and portfolio performance across APAC. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and track developments in the LNG and power sectors, as well as decarbonisation trends and initiatives. This includes conducting market research, gathering data on industry players, and analyzing competitor strategies. The Strategy Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for the company's APAC portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the LNG and power markets in APAC, including market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitor strategies. • Conducting market research and gathering data on industry players to inform strategic decisions. • Analyzing competitor strategies and identifying opportunities for growth and differentiation. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for the company's APAC portfolio. • Providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy development, market research, and data analysis, as well as experience working in the energy or power sectors. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, economics, engineering) is required, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
