The role - your passion

• Purchasing Strategy & Category Management:

• Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of purchasing strategies for spare parts, technical components, and accessories.

• Responsibility for defined product categories, including cost, quality, and delivery performance.

• Analysis of national and international procurement markets as well as identification of new suppliers and market trends.

• Development and implementation of dual sourcing strategies for risk mitigation.

• Conducting make-or-buy analyses and total cost of ownership considerations.
  

• Supplier Management

• Selection, qualification, and development of national and international suppliers.

• Building long-term strategic partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and aftermarket suppliers.

• Conducting supplier audits as well as regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

• Preparation and execution of annual negotiations with strategic suppliers.

• Definition and monitoring of KPI-based supplier evaluations.

• Escalation management for quality issues, supply bottlenecks, and process deviations.
  

• Negotiations & Contract Management

• Independent conduct of price, contract, and terms negotiations.

• Concluding and managing framework agreements, service agreements, and bonus models.

• Negotiation of delivery terms, payment conditions, service levels, and quality agreements.

• Identification and realization of savings potentials for sustainable cost optimization.
  

• Spare Parts Supply & Supply Chain

• Ensuring an economical and reliable supply of spare parts for our Europe-wide vehicle fleet.

• Development of strategies to prevent vehicle downtime.

• Analysis of needs, consumption data, and failure rates.

• Optimization of inventory levels and stock cover.

• Support in the introduction of new vehicle models and the associated spare parts supply.

• Close collaboration with Fleet Management, Operations, workshop networks, and Supply Chain.
  

• Processes, Systems & Digitalization

• Responsibility for the further development of procurement and purchasing processes.

• Participation in the digitalization and standardization of purchasing workflows.

• Maintenance and optimization of master data for materials and suppliers.

• Ensuring high data quality in ERP systems.

• Creation of reports, analyses, and management presentations.

• Definition, tracking, and reporting of relevant purchasing KPIs.
  

• Projects & Collaboration

• Leadership and participation in cross-departmental purchasing projects.

• Support in building Europe-wide purchasing and supplier concepts.

• Collaboration with Finance, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and Fleet Management.

• Ensuring compliance with compliance, quality, and sustainability standards.

What You Need To Surf The Wave With Us

Must-have

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification.

• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing in the automotive industry.

• In-depth knowledge in the areas of automotive aftermarket, spare parts, and technical components.

• Experience in dealing with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and aftermarket suppliers.

• Demonstrable experience in price and contract negotiations.

• Experience in conducting supplier audits and supplier evaluations.

• Very good knowledge in supplier and category management.

• Practical experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo, or comparable systems).

• Strong analytical skills as well as a structured and independent way of working.

• Fluent German and English language skills.

• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and audits.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in the field of motorhomes, campers, caravaning, or recreational vehicles.

• Knowledge of the European workshop and spare parts market.

• Experience with BI tools and data-driven purchasing decisions.

• Passion for camping, travel, and the outdoor lifestyle.

Your Salary

We ❤️ transparency. The salary band for this position ranges from EUR 46,000 to EUR 50,000 gross annually. We are currently introducing salary bands in our job descriptions to ensure that all employees are treated fairly. Once we get to know each other better in the application process and can assess your skills and experience more precisely, we will find out together which level within the salary band is the best fit for you. Your salary will be reviewed at least once a year during an annual feedback discussion.
