Apply Now© Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks
The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) is the real estate company of the Federal Government, which supports the real estate policy objectives of the Federal Government and provides the necessary space and buildings for almost all federal authorities. Accordingly, we are represented throughout Germany with over 7,000 employees and manage a very broad and diverse real estate portfolio as well as the ecological use and care of federal nature areas. For these diverse and responsible tasks, we are looking for innovative minds who think and act sustainably.
In the Procurement department, we procure all products and services that BImA needs, from wild game cooling chambers to service vehicles and security services and energy. We focus on innovation and sustainability. We actively monitor market developments and advise the specialist departments throughout the entire tendering process.
For this, we need you! Join us in making BImA even better!
Do you have an eye on the market, bring structure to complex processes, and want to actively shape the infrastructure of our authority? Then become part of our team! As a Strategic Purchaser (f/m/d), you will manage the entire procurement cycle for our infrastructural building management and ensure the operational capability of our properties.
Your tasks with us:
- Identify needs and understand markets: In close, partnership-based cooperation with our specialist divisions, you will analyze and plan procurement needs. You will always keep an eye on the relevant procurement market and its trends.
- Develop strategies and minimize risks: You will identify risks early on, conceptualize forward-looking solutions, and develop tailor-made purchasing strategies for your product groups from them.
- Manage processes and advise: You will competently support the specialist divisions in preparing tenders (e.g., for security services that guarantee the daily operation of our properties). You will take the lead in preparing the tender documents – from the service description to the award criteria.
- Ensure and accompany success: You will actively support our awarding bodies in the technical evaluation of offers and be available to bidders for advice on questions.
We work mobile and flexibly. Nevertheless, occasional business trips, including throughout Germany, are required in this position/workplace. These business trips are generally planned well in advance to ensure a work-life balance.
What you bring with you:
- Qualification: You have completed a university degree (Bachelor/Diplom [FH]) in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Facility Management, or a comparable qualification.
- You have professional experience in strategic procurement of services or possess the ability to translate complex needs of specialist divisions into tailor-made tender documents.
- You have already gained practical experience in the creation, structuring, or costing of service descriptions and price sheets.
- Ideally, you have knowledge of public procurement law (e.g., VgV, UVgO). If not, this is not an obstacle: We will intensively support you in acquiring this knowledge quickly.
- You are proficient in the common Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word) and use them to prepare service descriptions and price sheets digitally and in a structured manner for further processing.
- Personality: You think analytically, act responsibly, and remain calm even in complex situations. Your confident and reliable demeanor builds trust with internal and external contacts. You make decisions with good judgment, carefully weigh opportunities and risks, and drive your projects forward independently. At the same time, you value teamwork and quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and tasks.
What you can expect from us:
- A fixed-term employment contract in a dedicated team and an interesting range of tasks.
- Opportunities for personal and professional development through a diverse range of further training.
- Work-life balance through location- and time-flexible working and part-time options.
- 30 days of vacation, company mobile phone, public transport job ticket, company pension scheme, and health promotion courses.
