Strategic Advisor Finance

For municipality Heerenveen, we are looking for a Strategic Advisor Finance. You will temporarily bridge the period until a structural filling is available as a Strategic Advisor Finance. During this phase, you ensure continuity and development within the team.
You foresee the municipal council and management with domain-crossing and in-depth financial expertise. As a strategic advisor finance, you provide strategic insight directed at efficiency, effectiveness, financial-economic feasibility, financial viability, and legality. This way, you support council and management in complex decision-making with your strategic insights. From a broad strategic perspective, you take care of a consistent and future-proof financial course for the organization. You are a sparring partner for council and management and translate local and national financial developments into the Heerenveense context.
Responsibilities

• You support council and management with strategic (financial) insight and contribute to ensuring a healthy financial position.
• You offer suitable strategic financial guidance and information, and signal and manage structural financial risks within the organization.
• You steer, organize, and guide domain-crossing issues for the municipal council, the College, and the Council. In doing so, you ensure optimal alignment and cohesion between the different domains and teams with the concerned director.

Your profile

• You possess broad financial knowledge and have extensive experience as a strategic advisor in a bureaucratic environment.
• You have demonstrable experience in supporting council and management with complex financial issues.
• You are accustomed to advising at tactical and strategic levels and making complex matters accessible for different target groups.
