Strategic Industrial Relations Partner

A progressive company in South Africa is seeking an Industrial Relations Partner to support a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees. This hands-on advisory role requires experience in Industrial Relations, solid knowledge of South African labour legislation, and strong conflict-resolution skills. The ideal candidate will manage employee relations matters, guide managers through processes, and ensure compliance with labour laws. Key responsibilities include: • Providing expert advice on Industrial Relations matters to employees, management, and HR teams; • Developing and implementing effective strategies for managing employee relations, including conflict resolution and grievance procedures; • Collaborating with HR and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations; • Building and maintaining positive relationships with employees, unions, and external stakeholders; • Identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate into major problems; • Providing training and support to managers on Industrial Relations best practices and labour legislation. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Labour Law, Human Resources, or a related field; • At least 5 years of experience in Industrial Relations, preferably in South Africa; • Strong understanding of South African labour laws and regulations; • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
