Job description

How you can make a difference?

As a Water Management Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that water and sewerage systems are functioning properly on construction sites, as well as in all temporary situations and phases. You will work closely with other disciplines, such as roads, civil engineering, and technical installations. Do you have technical insight and the ability to connect people? And do you enjoy working closely with project managers, site managers, and external parties like a water board or management company? Then please respond!

What you will do as a Water Management Advisor

Water is fascinating: dynamic, unpredictable, and vital. Do you want to work with it? There are plenty of vacancies in urban water, but this role is unique due to the variety, development opportunities, and the organization you will be part of. What you will do:

  • You will advise on design and implementation teams on water and sewerage issues.
  • You will have conversations with external water management companies and water boards to get clear requirements.
  • You will provide input for permit applications.
  • You will work out hydraulic designs and drainage plans, collaborating with 3D modelers and draftsmen.
  • You will analyze the impact of construction on groundwater flow and provide recommendations.
  • You will advise on pump stations and determine dimensions and capacities within set parameters.

What you bring

  • A completed HBO degree, for example HTS civil engineering, Larenstein Land- and Watermanagement or equivalent.
  • You have a basic education in sewerage and/or urban water or are willing to follow one.
  • You have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • A followed-up course on 'fluid mechanics for the wastewater chain' is an advantage.
  • You work with dynamic models, such as Infoworks ICM.
  • Analytical ability, organizational talent, and the capacity to switch between policy and practice.
  • Good communication skills and a result-oriented, collaborative attitude.
