The Stores Assistant provides specialist stores, inventory, and logistics support to 2nd Combat Service Support Battalion, ensuring equipment and materials are accurately managed, maintained, and available when required. The main responsibilities of this role are: * Processing the receipt, issue, transfer and accounting of stores and equipment * Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stocktakes * Managing storage areas and ensuring equipment is stored safely and securely * Preparing, dispatching and receiving freight and materials * Providing professional customer service and logistics support to internal stakeholders The salary for this role ranges from $60,903 - $68,852, inclusive of a 4% superannuation contribution. Appointments within this range are based on skills and experience.

Along with experience in warehousing, stores, logistics or inventory management environments, you'll ideally bring: * Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records * Experience with stock control, inventory management or warehousing operations * Experience using SAP * Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel * Effective verbal and written communication skills * The ability to prioritise work, show initiative and work independently * A full Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence (Essential) * Forklift Endorsement and Dangerous goods handling experience (desirable) This role requires occasional domestic travel across NZDF's Camps and Bases.
