Storeman

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the efficient and accurate management of inventory within the Stores Department, ensuring that all stock is correctly received, stored, recorded and dispatched. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the stores function, maintaining stock control and supporting the Stores team in meeting operational targets

Know-How, Technical Skills and Experience (n. of years and where)

· Matric/Grade 12 (NQF 4) is essential

· 1 – 2 years of experience in a warehouse or storeman role with familiarity in inventory management

· Driver’s license is advantageous

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Good organisational and time-management skills

· Ability to operate stores equipment e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks with valid certification (if required)

· Physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects
