The Store Manager will lead and manage the daily operations of a Mr Price store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets, innovation initiatives and customer service standards are met and exceeded. Responsibilities Stock Management: Ensure optimal stock levels and efficient inventory management. Analyze sales data and trends to make informed decisions about stock ordering. Implement stock control procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock turnover. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively. Train and motivate store staff to deliver excellent customer service. Create a welcoming and engaging shopping environment. Sales and Profitability: Drive sales and achieve store targets through effective sales strategies and promotions. Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement. Manage store expenses and budgets to maximize profitability. Visual Merchandising: Ensure effective visual merchandising to attract customers and promote products. Maintain store presentation standards, including cleanliness, organization, and product displays. Oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage staff schedules, performance, and conduct disciplinary actions when necessary. Motivate and empower store staff to achieve their full potential. Operations: Oversee all store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and secure store environment for staff and customers. Requirements Proven experience in retail management, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to analyze sales data and trends to make informed business decisions. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Financial acumen and understanding of profit and loss statements. Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
