Key Responsibilities:
Operate stitching machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
Stitch leather and upholstery materials according to production requirements
Ensure all stitching meets quality and production standards
Inspect stitched components for defects and quality concerns
Handle materials carefully to minimise damage and wastage
Report machine faults, material defects, and safety concerns
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the department

Skills and Requirements:
Ability to operate stitching machinery and work with upholstery materials
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow instructions, patterns, and measurements
Good hand-eye coordination
Ability to work effectively within a team
Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive work ethic

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 advantageous
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Previous stitching, sewing machinist, or upholstery experience advantageous
Basic understanding of stitching machine operation and workplace safety
