Job description
Würenlos (AG) · 100 % · approx. 50 % on-site at customer's premises
At AKSA Würenlos AG, we develop, realize, and support highly available emergency power solutions – individually, technically sophisticated, and business-critical for our customers.
Our control systems engineers for projects accompany a system until acceptance. Afterwards, you will take over: You will be responsible for the control technology of our systems during operation – in retrofit projects, modifications, and in service. For this, you need the same skills as in project business, only you apply them to existing systems, which often look different than on the plan.
If you don't just want to fix faults, but understand causes, conceptualize solutions, and take responsibility, you are in the right place with us.
Your Tasks
Electrical Design
Creation of complex circuit diagrams for retrofit projects and system modifications (eXs-CAD) according to concept
Recording and updating of existing diagrams, even for third-party products and incomplete documentation
Automation Planning
Responsibility for control solutions in retrofit and service projects
Support in the development of retrofit concepts including changeover diagrams and fallback levels, coordinated with the project manager
Integration of emergency power systems into higher-level systems (PLCs, control systems, building automation)
Control Systems
Programming and adaptation of PLC programs, including in foreign and older systems
Parameterization and optimization of generator controls (e.g., ComAp, Cummins PCC)
Adaptation and optimization of emergency power supply, synchronization, and load management functions
Service, Tests, and Commissioning
Analysis of comprehensive faults on-site and derivation of sustainable solutions
Testing of modifications in the test field and commissioning after retrofits and system modifications at the customer's premises
Performance of sophisticated tests of control and electrical engineering
Documentation and Standards
Ensuring clean, traceable documentation of all changes
Feedback of field experiences to engineering for further development of standards
Team and Collaboration
Taking over systems from project control systems engineers after acceptance
Technical support for service technicians on control technology issues
Technical contact person for customers, operators, and project managers in after-sales
Your Profile
Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, automation, or comparable
Further education (e.g., HF Systemtechnik or similar) is an advantage
Experience in control technology in an industrial environment
In-depth experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and handling complex systems
Experience in schematic engineering (preferably eXs) – you create schematics, not just modifications
Experience with PLC systems
Experience with conversions or modernization of existing systems
Experience with generator controls is an advantage
Knowledge in the integration of plants and systems
Good knowledge of power grids, grid types, and grid behavior
Confident and customer-oriented demeanor
Solution-oriented and independent working style, quality awareness
Very good German language skills, English and French skills are an advantage
Driving license category B
Willingness to travel approx. 50%
On-call duty
What Sets You Apart
Systemic thinking – you recognize interrelationships, even in systems you haven't built yourself
Analytical strength – you find causes, not just symptoms
Hands-on & pragmatic – you enjoy being where the system is located
Calmness with the customer – you maintain an overview when something is not working, and explain clearly what you are doing
Implementation strength – you bring things to completion
Are you this person?
You are not the type who just replaces what is broken. You understand why a system is built the way it is – and ensure that it runs reliably even after years of operation. With us, you work on systems where it really matters that they function.
What awaits you with us
Technology that matters:
You work on emergency power systems that must function in an emergency – no playground, but real responsibility.
Variety:
Assignments at the customer's site and engineering in-house, roughly half and half.
Stability meets Growth:
An established company with a clear direction – and at the same time enough dynamism to really move things forward.
Interested? Then we look forward to receiving your application!
