Head of Finance (m/w/d) - Munich

HWG builds the operating system for modern craft businesses. We take care of everything that doesn't happen on the construction site - sales, HR, marketing, finance, administration - through standardized processes, our own software, and KI-gestützte workflows. Our partner businesses in the SHK and electrical engineering sectors focus on craft quality. We ensure that the rest runs and scales.
Now we're building the finance function that takes this model to the next level. Not as a support function. As a strategic machine.

**Your Role**

You build the entire finance function for HWG and our growing portfolio of craft businesses. From accounting to financial strategy. You work not like a classic accountant - you're responsible for a finance setup that works for +25 companies at the same time and gets better with each new company.
This is not a job where you manage processes. This is a job where you build them.

Tasks

Finance Infrastructure from Scratch
You design the financial backbone for a whole portfolio of craft businesses:

• Unified finance framework for all partner businesses - accounting, payroll, reporting, everything standardized
• Clear processes for new company formations develop, which run from day one
• Sparring partner for the management team in all financial matters - not a helper, but a co-decision maker

Accounting for the Companies - Not Self-Abuse

• External accountants and service providers select, manage, and maintain quality
• Deadlines, compliance, and clean structures ensure - across all companies
• Clear standards define, which no accountant can undermine
• Review of BWA, turnover tax returns, annual financial statements, tax returns, payroll

Automation & Scaling Drive

• Digital, automated accounting processes build - the goal is zero manual work
• DATEV, interfaces, and tools not only use, but develop further
• Systems build, which work just as well with 5 companies as with 50

Strategic Finance Products as Offering Build
Here it gets entrepreneurial. You make finance a competitive advantage for our companies:

• Financing concepts design and implement: inventory financing, factoring, working capital solutions, leasing structures
• Partnerships with banks, fintechs, and financing platforms build and negotiate
• Unit economics and profitability of the companies track, analyze, and actively improve
• Financing products position as part of the HWG offering - so that our companies grow faster than their competitors

Qualification

• Succesfully completed accounting exam
• Multiple years of experience in accounting or finance - ideally with reference to portfolio structures, company building, or startup environment
• Very good knowledge of accounting, tax law, and annual financial statements (HGB)
• Experience with DATEV (especially Unternehmen Online)
• Experience or strong interest in financing products: factoring, inventory financing, leasing
• You think in systems rather than individual cases and want to build rather than manage
• You have a desire to take responsibility - without classical hierarchy
• You are negotiation-safe in German, good English
