The Schön Klinik Berchtesgadener Land is a specialized clinic with the medical focuses of Psychosomatic Medicine (hospital treatment) and Pneumology (rehabilitation). It is part of the Schön Klinik Group and a teaching hospital of Philipps University Marburg and PMU Salzburg. The clinic is located against a picturesque mountain backdrop in the southeast of Bavaria, on the edge of the Berchtesgaden National Park. The Schön Klinik Berchtesgadener Land has 325 beds, employs approximately 280 staff members, and treats around 3,400 patients annually. We are looking for a Deputy Chief Physician (m/f/d) for the Psychosomatics Center of Excellence on a full-time or part-time basis, to start as soon as possible.
Tasks

• Take on leadership and further development: You will lead a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, ward physicians, co-therapists, and medical-therapeutic assistants, and actively shape the strategic and conceptual development of the Center of Excellence – including quality assurance, projects, and further training.
• Supervise treatment processes: Conduct supervision of your team's psychotherapeutic and somatic treatments, as well as in small group settings for staff in psychotherapeutic training.
• Lead team meetings: Lead weekly interdisciplinary team meetings of all specialized therapies involved in treatment.
• Treat according to guidelines: Provide medical and psychotherapeutic care for patients, accompanied by medical-therapeutic assistants, according to current treatment guidelines.
• Provide on-call duty: Regular participation in specialist on-call duty for the Psychosomatics Center of Excellence.
• Deepen expertise: Conduct and regularly attend in-house further training and continuing education sessions, as well as Journal Club.

Profile

• You are a specialist physician for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy or for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy – with sound professional qualifications and a genuine interest in the connection between somatic medicine and psychotherapy.
• You possess a high degree of empathy, as well as a structured, empathetic, and team-oriented approach to work.
• Commitment, openness, and a willingness to perform characterize your professional daily life. You bring a sense of personal responsibility, flexibility, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
• You have basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook) and are happy to familiarize yourself with new digital systems.
