We are looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager (m/f/d) at the Schwalmstadt location in full-time employment as soon as possible. You will contribute daily to ensuring that our patients feel well cared for.
Tasks
- Support for Kitchen Management: You will represent the Kitchen Manager and support them in the organization and management of kitchen operations.
- Preparation and Presentation of Dishes: You will prepare high-quality and nutritionally conscious dishes, paying attention to appealing visual presentation.
- Cost Calculation and Procurement: You will take over demand calculation, compare prices, check product quality, and coordinate cooperation with suppliers. You will also order the necessary food items and check incoming goods.
- Storage and Hygiene: You will ensure the proper storage of food according to HACCP guidelines and ensure that hygiene and safety standards are met.
- Budget Responsibility: You will share responsibility for adhering to the specified budget.
- Menu Planning and Events: You will create menus and food lists, plan special events, and work closely with the Service Management and other interfaces.
- Staff Planning and Development: You will create work schedules, optimize staff deployment, and participate in the selection of new employees.
- Employee Training and Quality Control: You will train the kitchen team on hygiene and accident prevention regulations and monitor cleaning and disinfection work.
Profile
- Completed training as a cook (m/f/d)
- Initial management experience and organizational talent
- Knowledge of HACCP, hygiene, and quality standards
- Experience in buffet setup, menu arrangement, and food planning
- Ideally familiar with food transport and ordering systems
- Proficient in using MS Office
- Independent, reliable, and team-oriented way of working
