Job Posting: Software Developer (m/w/d) with AI Focus

Tasks

• Development and further development of our software solutions – from architecture to productive operation
• Integration of AI functions into existing and new applications – including step-by-step, risk-free conversion of mature, business-critical systems in ongoing operation
• Use of AI-supported development tools (e.g. Codex, Claude Code) to increase quality and speed
• Collaboration with departments and external service providers
• Responsibility for the entire software life cycle: concept, implementation, testing, deployment, operation
• Influencing our technical roadmap – particularly in the area of AI and automation

Qualification

Your Profile

Must-have – AI:

• Practical experience in developing AI-supported applications – from small and medium-sized projects to complex applications (e.g. with OpenAI-, Anthropic- or comparable APIs)
• Understanding of Prompt Engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Embeddings
• Safe and productive handling of AI coding assistants in everyday development
• Awareness of data protection (DSGVO) and EU AI Act when implementing AI features

Must-have – Software Development:

• Several years of experience (ca. 3+ years) in software architecture, ideally with initial project management experience
• Experience in managing a complete software life cycle
• Experience with legacy applications and their careful further development in ongoing operation
• DevOps knowledge: building CI/CD pipelines
• Docker and Linux knowledge
• Safe handling of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres)
• WebSocket and MQTT (for real-time/ device communication)

Programming Languages:

• Backend: C#, .NET, Entity Framework
• Frontend: Vue.js 3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Nuxt.js

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in converting mature, business-critical applications to AI functionality – i.e. you already know how to integrate AI features step-by-step and risk-free into systems that must run 24/7.
• Experience with vector databases
• Experience with agent frameworks
• Swagger/OpenAPI
• MLOps basic knowledge

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills and experience in collaboration with different service providers
• Curiosity about new AI developments and willingness to apply them productively
• Independent, structured working style
