The Treibhaus e.V. is full of ideas, projects, and stories – and we are looking for someone who ensures that they become visible and audible. For our communication and public relations work, we are seeking a dedicated communications talent with a sure sense of language, design, and target groups.
The core tasks include social media management as well as press and public relations work in print and online. Furthermore, there is the possibility – depending on experience, interests, and competencies – to expand the job profile by additional areas such as internal communication or fundraising. The scope and structure of the job are designed together: The weekly working hours depend on the specific task profile.
About us
The Treibhaus e.V. is a sociocultural center in Döbeln. We create spaces for cultural participation, social engagement, and individual development regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or origin. In projects of youth, culture, media, and historical-political education as well as intercultural work, we promote creative action and democratic values. A dedicated team of main and honorary staff members as well as more than 200 members carries our work.
Tasks
Your tasks
Main tasks: Communication & Public Relations
Strategic Public Relations
- Concept, steering, and organization of our public relations work (online & offline)
- Implementation and further development of our corporate design in all communication media
- Planning, steering, and evaluation of cross-platform communication measures
- Creation and maintenance of a editorial plan including reporting, evaluation, and optimization
- Punctual press work (e.g. writing and sending press releases, maintaining press distributors and media contacts)
Social Media Management
- Care and further development of our social media channels (currently: Instagram, Facebook, Messenger) in close coordination with the team
- Content creation: Development of creative ideas, formats, and stories for different target groups
- Videography concept, script planning, and editing (e.g. Reels); if interested and required, also appearing on camera
- Community management: respectful, discriminatory-free exchange in comments and direct messages
Print, Graphics & Accessibility
- Design of flyers, posters, and other print materials for events and special occasions – based on existing templates (e.g. Canva)
- Creation of possibly barrier-free content (e.g. alt-texts, readable typography, understandable language)
Website & Documentation
- Maintenance and further development of our website as well as creation of editorial contributions
- Accompaniment of selected highlight events and their communicative preparation for social media and website
Optional tasks (depending on profile & interest)
- Participation in internal communication
- Support or independent takeover of fundraising and donation communication
- Project-specific special tasks in the field of communication
The scope and focus of the tasks depend on your skills, interests, and agreed weekly working hours.
Qualification
You bring with you
- A qualified degree or relevant professional, honorary, or project-based experience in the field of communication/public relations
- Fundamental knowledge of media and public relations
- Communicative strength, self-responsible work, and a structured working style
- Very good written expression skills as well as a sure sense for style, tone, and details
- Experience with social media strategies, organic growth, and current platform trends
- Creativity and a good sense for storytelling, visual language, and video production
- Routine handling of common graphics and media programs (e.g. InDesign, Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite) as well as openness to AI-supported tools
- Motivation to make the rural area visible and culturally strengthen
- Teamwork skills, openness to feedback, and willingness to take responsibility
- Organizational skill and ideally project management experience
