Static Testing Specialist

Group Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FS Italiane) is seeking a Static Testing Specialist to be inserted at Italferr S.p.A. for the locations of Genoa, Milan, Rome, and Verona.

The successful candidate will be part of the HSQE, SSL, and Testing Department and will have the opportunity to perform the following activities:

• Support static testing activities for infrastructure projects related to high-speed rail, conventional rail lines, road infrastructure, and buildings.
• Conduct on-site inspections during construction to verify compliance with approved project documents and contracts.
• Assist in conducting load tests on structures under construction and prepare a report to be shared with the responsible person and participants.
• Verify projects, test reports, and ultimate structure reports, and draft static testing certificates.
• Support the department head in monitoring ongoing testing assignments (progress, analysis of deviations, reprogramming activities).

Requirements:

• MSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering;
• Desirable Master's degree or Ph.D. in the field of structures/civil engineering or structural engineering;
• Knowledge of infrastructure project design and construction, as well as technical standards;
• Knowledge of public procurement regulations;
• At least 2 years of experience in the field of infrastructure project design and control;
• Exclusive for senior roles: registration on the professional register for at least 10 years;
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, calculation software (SAP 2000, Ansys, etc.), and structural verification programs.
• BIM knowledge is desirable;
• Basic knowledge of English;
• Possession of digital skills applicable to different areas of interest, BIM knowledge, including relevant standards and regulations in the sector;
• Able to travel frequently throughout Italy.
