Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Job description

Location: Warsaw

Verification and reconciliation of sales and issuance of sales invoices and debit notes.
Supervision of settlements and cash flows in the retail network, including replenishment, change, and convoy processes.
Monitoring and analysis of receivables and payables, including preparation of aging reports.
Accounting and settlement of business transactions, as well as verification and reconciliation of accounting balances.
Calculation of selected tax liabilities, particularly VAT and WHT, and preparation of required declarations and reports, including Intrastat.
Coordination of processes related to fiscalization, fiscal device reviews, and report archiving.
Preparation of financial reports, analyses, and statements for the internal and external needs of the organization.
Active participation in month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end closing processes.
Substantive and operational support during controls conducted by tax authorities.
Participation in local and international projects and independent coordination of selected initiatives related to the finance and accounting area.

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
Very good knowledge of accounting law provisions and Polish accounting standards.
Practical knowledge of tax regulations, especially in the area of VAT.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, including the ability to work with large data sets (pivot tables, lookup functions).
Experience in reconciling accounting accounts and settling business transactions.
Independence, accuracy, and good work organization.
Ability for analytical thinking and effective cooperation with other departments of the organization.

Experience in accounting for companies in the retail, e-commerce, FMCG sectors, or organizations with a distributed structure.
Experience gained in accounting outsourcing, especially in servicing companies involved in goods trading.
Knowledge of the SAP system.
Knowledge of tax issues related to CIT and WHT.
Experience in preparing Intrastat declarations.
Participation in projects to improve or automate accounting processes.
