Job description

Who we are:
We are a foundation with a cantonal mandate and special educational services for children and adolescents with severe speech and language disorders and / or pronounced socio-emotional impairments.

How we work:

  • Support conceived from the child's perspective: For us, the individual needs and developmental opportunities of children and adolescents are central. We design pedagogy and therapy together and holistically.
  • Small class, big impact: In groups of a maximum of 9 children, we create a framework in which pupils are supported in their uniqueness and accompanied in their individual development. We empower them for participation and self-responsibility.
  • Diversity is everyday life: We see our pupils as individual, competent personalities with very different resources. We offer stable relationships and promote development-oriented and resource-oriented approaches. To this end, we develop individualized support programs.
  • Support in everyday school life: Our multiprofessional teams combine different specialist perspectives and mutually strengthen each other in all aspects of support. In complex everyday school life, no one is alone – management personnel, subject matter experts, and other specialists work closely together.
  • Exchange that moves forward: Input events, further training, and internships are part of our learning culture. We learn with and from each other and continuously professionalize ourselves for our pedagogical everyday life.

Your Impact:

  • New premises, new opportunities: Together with your co-management, you will take over the operational management of the expanded location in Turgi with around 120 pupils – and shape a school that combines creativity, stability, and reliability.
  • Team building & Leadership: You will lead and develop a newly assembled, interdisciplinary team of around 55 employees from the fields of pedagogy, therapy, and other specialist areas, and shape a culture of professionalism, trust, and appreciation.
  • Shaping Quality: You will further develop teaching, therapy, and care with a focus on holistic, individual support. You will ensure high pedagogical quality and, together with the interdisciplinary team, create optimal developmental and learning opportunities for every child.
  • Setting Impulses for the Future: Together with the management team, you will identify development potentials, participate in future-oriented concepts, and actively shape the future of the ASS Center as part of the management team.

What you bring:

  • Several years of management experience in the school environment, ideally in a school leadership position and in the special education context, combined with experience in school and quality development.
  • Pronounced leadership competence: You lead clearly, appreciatively, and with commitment, communicate empathetically, and foster trust, self-responsibility, and development.
  • Composure in demanding situations: You act calmly, solution-oriented, and with commitment in personnel matters, conflicts, and difficult decisions.
  • Innovative and resilient personality with organizational talent, creativity, and strategic foresight. You set priorities, take responsibility, and shape changes proactively and actively.
  • Resource-oriented and interdisciplinary attitude: You are open to future-oriented pedagogical and therapeutic perspectives and promote constructive, interdisciplinary cooperation.
  • Joy in working with children and adolescents as well as genuine interest in their individual needs and their small and large developmental steps.
  • Completed school leadership training or the willingness to complete it promptly.

What we offer you:

  • Leadership with scope for action: A versatile and future-oriented leadership role with the opportunity to build and sustainably shape a new location.
  • Build with impact: You will have the chance to help shape structures, processes, and collaboration from the outset and contribute your own ideas.
  • Strong management team: You will work closely with experienced leaders and specialists and will be supported in building and further developing the location.
  • Professional environment:
