Junior Analyst, Career Development Programs
This is a full-time summer internship that will take place from May 11, 2026 to August 28, 2026.
Job SummaryThis internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the career development programs strategy of CN, particularly to the structure and efficiency of CN's stages - the foundation of our early-career talent pool.
In close collaboration with the main director, the intern will analyze and evaluate the key elements of the program, including school partnerships, sponsorships, and recruitment events, in order to support CN in hiring over 150 interns per year. The role combines strategic analysis, research, and operational support in executing high-impact initiatives that shape the future talent pool of CN.
Main ResponsibilitiesAnalysis of partnerships and educational institutions
- Conducts a thorough analysis of educational institutions and academic programs that provide candidates for CN's stages.
- Evaluates the alignment between CN's talent needs and the programs offered by partner institutions.
Evaluation of sponsorships, partnerships, and events
- Examines and evaluates the performance and outcome of sponsorships, partnerships, and initiatives on campus.
- Evaluates recruitment events based on criteria such as brand visibility, inclusion goals, candidate quality, and conversion rates.
Strategic Recommendations
- Synthesizes conclusions into a strategic framework proposal aimed at optimizing partnerships, investments, and mobilization activities within CN's career development programs.
- Presents recommendations supporting long-term program growth, inclusion goals, and talent outcomes.
Operational Support
- Collaborates with the early-career programs team to support ongoing recruitment, employer branding, events, and partnership management activities.
- Contributes to research, content production, reports, and meeting preparation to advance the global strategy.
Experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret and synthesize data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including professional writing.
- Bilingual: mastery of English and French (oral and written).
- Able to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external partners.
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Planner.
- Familiarity with AI tools for supporting research, analysis, and productivity.
- Knowledge of languages or data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL), an asset.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, human resources, or a related field.
