Internship: Application of Augmented Reality

What will you do?

Within Service & Support, we are investigating how Augmented Reality (AR) can contribute to more efficient and effective service delivery. New technologies increasingly offer possibilities to support customers and technicians remotely and to limit machine downtime. We want to gain insight into which applications are relevant for Voortman and how they can be structurally deployed within our service organization.

During this internship, you will research the technical and organizational possibilities of Augmented Reality within service and remote support. You will analyze various application possibilities, including the use of a RealWear Smart Glass for remote support. Additionally, you will investigate which process changes are necessary for successful AR implementation and what benefits this can yield for the quality, speed, and efficiency of our service processes.

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Investigating the possibilities of Augmented Reality within customer service, remote support, and field service;

• Analyzing the deployment of the RealWear Smart Glass for supporting technicians and customers remotely;

• Mapping out the necessary process changes for the implementation of Smart Glasses;

• Determining possible process improvements in terms of efficiency, response time, and service quality.

The final result of the assignment is a substantiated implementation plan with which Voortman can assess and further develop the deployment of Augmented Reality within its service organization.

What we ask

• A Bachelor's (HBO) or Master's (WO) degree in Business Administration, Technical Business Administration, Application Technology, or equivalent.
