Job description

What will you do?

During this internship assignment, you will delve into the current way of working with hydraulics and pneumatics schematics within NPD Mechanical Engineering. Currently, the schematics are created in a manner that is not configurable and offers limited possibilities, for example, when it comes to printing and reusing codings.


You will investigate how EPLAN Fluid can best be deployed to potentially replace the current approach. In doing so, you will not only look at 'how it can be done' but primarily at 'how it should be done'. You will work together with engineers and will be given the space to take initiative yourself. You will conclude with a proof of concept: a complete hydraulic and pneumatic machine schematic that can serve as a reference for new machine development.


Possible components of your assignment:

  • Mapping the current working method and bottlenecks regarding hydraulics and pneumatics schematics;

  • Establishing a standardized working method;

  • Exploring configuration and documentation possibilities within EPLAN Fluid;

  • Building a proof of concept as a reference;

  • Delivering a short manual and handover to the engineers.

  • A Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechatronics or similar.
