Internship Subject

Doctrine develops workflows dedicated to legal professionals to accelerate and improve their case management. In this context, the application allows users to upload many types of files (PDF, Word, images, etc.) from numerous sources.

The goal of the internship is to improve the tools present in the application for viewing and manipulating these documents. This may include:

• Viewing PDFs but also other types of documents (Word, images, etc.) directly in the browser, in a scalable and secure manner,
• Adding more options for configuring the view (zoom, search, orientation, etc.),
• Overlaying OCR-generated text onto the original document to allow the user to select and copy the text,
• Adding functionalities for cutting, merging, and reordering pages,
• And other functionalities!

These functionalities are available throughout Doctrine's private document experience, including in the Assistant, collaborative folders, and specialized tools like Flow Litigate and Flow Counsel.

The intern will participate in understanding user needs around these tools (in collaboration with product teams) and in defining technical solutions (in collaboration with technical teams). They will join the Productivity team and also participate in the web chapter (a gathering of all fullstack developers in the company).
