Internship Subject

Doctrine develops workflows dedicated to legal professionals to accelerate and improve the management of their cases. Among these, Jobexit assists social law lawyers and legal professionals in simulating employment contract terminations, particularly by calculating severance pay, compensation in case of litigation, exit timelines, and unemployment benefits.

In a dispute, an employee may request several things at once: unpaid wages, severance pay, damages, etc. The objective of the internship is to enable the user to enter and organize all these requests within the application, to better estimate the amounts involved, prepare for negotiation with the opposing party, and automatically generate the final summary intended for the judge. This may include:

  • Designing an interface to add, modify, and reorder requests for a case, each with its amount, calculation unit, and order
  • Modeling dependencies between requests (e.g., a request that only applies if another is refused)
  • Calculating and displaying amounts (from the cost for the employer to the net amount received by the employee), to help the user assess risks
  • Automatically generating a clear and structured summary document, ready to be integrated into the lawyer's written pleadings
  • And other features!

The intern will participate in understanding user needs around these tools (in collaboration with product teams and legal professionals) and in defining technical solutions (in collaboration with technical teams). They will join the Jobexit team and also participate in the web chapter (a gathering of all full-stack developers in the company).
